Unite for Climate Action: an Intergenerational Event

It is vital that our climate action be joined-up and trans-disciplinary. On the 12th of December, we’re hosting an intergenerational event to reflect on the COP process and explore how systems mapping for joined-up climate action at the local government level can make a movement for change across the board.

Our team of Young Leaders have been systems mapping UK-wide local government climate action plans. Young Leader, Mahsa Khaneghah MRTPI will co-host with OnePlanet CEO Pooran Desai OBE.  We’ll hear from the Young Leaders and experts including Mike Berners-Lee, carbon expert and best selling author; Melissa Zanocco OBE, industry transformation expert; and Jack O’Connor, United Nations University and author of the UN’s Interconnected Disasters Risk Report. 

We will also hear responses from leading politicians including Lord Iain McNicol of Rewired Earth, Caroline Lucas, MP for Brighton Pavilion, and Kirsty Blackman, MP for Aberdeen North. 

With evidence of methane skyrocketing in the atmosphere further destabilising our climate, 2024 will be the year when we will need to come together in the paradigm shift we have long talked about. The fresh eyes of Young Leaders, when allied to expert experience, may just provide the light of hope we need.
