I am delighted to announce that we have teamed up with the brilliant physicist, psychiatrist, neuroscientist and AI expert, Professor Karl Friston, and have started building our OnePlanet ‘planet-regenerating AI’.
Our planet is half as alive as it used to be. We urgently need to transform our society and economy to one that regenerates, rather than consumes, the living systems on which we depend.
Over the past six months we have been developing our AI strategy and we’re incredibly excited to announce we’ve now started building the AI to underpin OnePlanet. It leverages our knowledge of sustainability and Karl’s Active Inference and the Free Energy Principle. The distributed intelligence approach will work in partnership with humans to help our users to collaborate to reduce risk by enabling them to self-organise to a planet-regenerating state. Our first module will be released April next year and we aim to have built out the whole system by December 2026.
We will be sharing our roadmap at the inaugural Clean AI Summit on 4th October in Toronto.
