The Eastbourne Eco Action Network CIC (EEAN CIC) has partnered up with us to significantly expand its One Planet Eastbourne community ecosystem platform, helping to link together strategic action plans in the area, highlighting areas for collaboration and also areas where action is lacking.
With the EEAN CIC having recently secured grant funding from Chalk Cliff Trust and the Edgar E. Lawley Foundation, an exciting new phase of this project is now underway with the recruitment of a OnePlanet Coordinator. This role has been appointed to support organisations within the Eastbourne area to develop action plans on the OnePlanet platform and then to promote ‘joined up’ actions for better collaboration with their customers, suppliers, partners, and stakeholders on Net Zero strategies.
As well as benefiting the organisations themselves, this activity also facilitates the cross-community collaboration needed to make Eastbourne a more sustainable and resilient community. The project is designed to support the goal for the area of becoming carbon neutral by 2030, and in turn, to improve the quality of life for Eastbourne residents.
Any organisation within the Eastbourne area can ask for a free OnePlanet Action Plan to be developed by the EEAN CIC’s new OnePlanet Coordinator for free! Training, either online or in person, can also be provided to the organisation’s staff, enabling them to contribute to the management and updating of the plan going foward.
