It feels a long time since we’ve provided an update on OnePlanet’s tech development, so here are some of the key developments we’ve made that enable and improve collaboration – both internally and externally.
- Geomap view of all Connected Plans
- Collaborate with published plans
- Insights on Connections
Geomap enhancement
In OnePlanet, you can explore a plan in a Mindmap, Geomap, Table and Document view. Now, we have applied this same logic to the whole workspace, with a real enhancement to Geomapping. From the Workspace Geomap, you can see all Outcomes, Actions and Indicators from your own plans on a single map, or all OAIs from all plans that are connected to your Workspace – ie your entire ecosystem.
This means that you can now see what all your departments and stakeholders are doing to deliver on your Shared Outcomes, and you can quickly identify both physical and strategic gaps.
Collaboration with public plans
Many organisations are choosing to publish their plans on OnePlanet, to provide an interactive and transparent alternative to a PDF document. This has been enhanced with the ability to publish both Plan and Workspace geomaps.
And now anyone with a OnePlanet account can request to collaborate with anyone who has published a plan. So, if you see that a neighbouring organisation has similar goals to you, you can now simply click ‘collaborate’ and start addressing your Shared Outcomes together.
Gaining Insights from OnePlanet
On the sidebar on your Workspace Dashboard you’ll now see an Insights tab. Here you can see graphically who you are collaborating with and how; i.e. Are they contributing to your Shared Outcomes or you to theirs? This provides a higher-level perspective than the existing Connections view, which allows you to see which Plans and specific OAIs are contributing to each of your Shared Outcomes.
