One Planet Living Technical Manager
I’ve been working in the environmental field for nearly 20 years, having studied Earth Science at Cambridge University and Environmental Technology at Imperial College. I am driven by a love of the outdoors and nature, enjoying growing my own food, hiking and cycling, and being a bad bird-watcher. Being well aware of the pressures on our planet I do my best to keep my lifestyle low impact; eating sustainably and getting the train long-distance when I can, but like many people wish that making the right choices was a little easier! Having lived in Greece for 7 years I currently live in France, near Geneva, with my family.
At Bioregional I played a key role in developing the One Planet Living framework as a flexible tool that can be used to drive systemic change through an organisation and an industry. To date, One Planet Living has been used in over $30bn of real estate projects globally. I've used the framework with some of the world’s most ambitious sustainable tourism projects. These include Les Villages Nature Paris on the outskirts of Paris with its geothermally heated Aqualagoon and regenerative landscape, and Singita’s ambitious conservation and sustainable tourism projects in east and southern Africa.
I am a Chartered Environmentalist and member of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
I worked on a carbon management programme in Greece and was engaged as a consultant to UN Environment on corporate sustainability reporting. I previously worked with a rapping robot in primary schools, ran an off-grid centre in Spain, volunteered in Senegal and worked as an engineer in efficient school design.
